Welcome to the Scot Ragsdale Landscape Design web site. I provide landscape design services for clients in Oregon and Washington. Some of the communities I work in include Portland, Vancouver, Beaverton, Tigard, Lake Oswego, Tualatin, West Linn, Oregon City, Hillsboro, Wilsonville, Newberg, and McMinnville. I have been designing gardens for the last twenty years, fifteen of which I also spent as a landscape contractor. The blog page showcases some of my work as well as photos and commentary on other gardens and nature that I find inspirational. I create landscape plans, consultations, written instructions, and/or on site instruction for those who want to do the work themselves. I also give referrals for experienced landscape contractors if you want professional help in installing your project. For those clients who are interested in making their homes more suitable to wildlife, I have extensive experience with pacific northwest native plants and designing the types of plantings that will attract and sustain birds and other animals. I can provide consultations and landscape plans to help clients “naturescape” their yards. My fees are reasonable and are based on the scope of work. The first consultation is free, and after I meet with clients to determine what they want in a design or consultation, I then quote a fee based on the estimated amount of work.
